Heidi Holmström (b.1997 Finland) is an artist, observer and cloud writer.
Bending theory and practice from both fine arts and music with improvisation and composition studies as leverage, a mix of both of  is currently imporant to her.

Without having a hierarchy in her practice, it crawls and jogs with abstract notions and sharp observations, seeking to mirror, burst and trace, the on-going, the temporary,  the present.
Circulating  in time-and site-specific installations, interventions and sound
concept-based works and observations often exist in spaces like gestures, as characteristics of the current, leaving their trace and seeking for a double-sided recognition of their existence.
Working in dialogue with the space; spatial recognition is essential to her practice. From transmitting bird alarm calls through conference speakers into electricity pole structures, to building interventions to former U.S Embassy surveillance rooms, the material non hierarchy allows her work to take the form it needs.
