Blade pitch scores 1,2,3 2.0
(2025)
on shown at 1.1 at Sunnyside Helsinki
Scores sourced from the jumps at women’s free programmes held in ISU Championships in Boston, two weeks prior the exhibition opening . Gold, silver and bronze; set of three scores. The music score consists of the tiny moment when the competitioner’s jump lands and the blade cuts through the ice - that is where the pitch is recorded.
The temporality of the present is translated into musical score using musical notation as a way of writing data.
‘Triple axel is difficult. You try it anyway - it brings a better score. ‘
