Instruction based performance
Through phone calls as a catalyst for conversation, Ferdinand called from abroad continuously with caller iD ‘Answer me’ and the phone rang in the space until one of the visitors picked it up and answered; this was a start for a conversation whereas Ferdi was instructed to follow three different emotional landscapes and perform them to the answerer, starting a conversation with an universal phatic context where the personal identification of the parties involved were not communicated, or needed.
